A coterie group is a great starting point for people looking to increase their level of support as a member of the North Melbourne Football Club and from our perspective, what better way to start than by becoming a member of the longest established and original coterie of NMFC.

The Northerners is the longest established traditional coterie of the North Melbourne Football Club. We are an incorporated association with the sole aim and objective of supporting the North Melbourne Football Club on and off the field.

Established in 1967, the Northerners and is about loyalty, commitment, passion and belonging and we want you to be a part of our great coterie in 2012!

It is often said that coterie members should "ask not what their Club can do for them, but what they can do for their Club". Whilst the backbone and tradition of the Northerners revolves around encouraging our members (you) to provide assistance to NMFC by way of offering your professional skills, mentoring and financial support to the Club, the Club and the Northerners also strive to provide assistance and value to you as a part of the fabric of the NMFC family!

In doing so, the Northerners fosters a networking environment for our business based members and also provides many opportunities for those that simply want to enjoy a day at the footy with family and friends.

We aim to ensure that all of our members are valued and to recognise the special contribution of each Northerner to NMFC, we offer our members the chance to participate in unique experiences with the playing group, coaching staff and game day corporate hospitality each season.

The Northerners also prides itself on the camaraderie that has developed between its members and the excitement, enthusiasm and commitment we have towards NMFC. Above all the Northerners passionately support the players and the Club in its entirety and we endeavour to provide any and all assistance where needed to help our great Club to continue to build its success on and off the field as a proud sporting club in Australia.

The Northerners is constantly evolving, and we want to you become a part of our tradition as we aim to preserve the history of the oldest and most prestigious coterie group at the North Melbourne Football Club.
